Job summary

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Technology, or related discipline.
  • Experience with soil and groundwater sampling is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication; willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental field programs including groundwater monitoring, soil sampling, drilling investigations, and remediation activities.
  • Collect, document, and manage environmental data and samples according to regulatory and industry standards.
  • Prepare and implement site-specific health and safety plans to protect workers, clients, and the public.
  • Identify, assess, and report site hazards, near misses, and incidents to support a strong safety culture.
  • Coordinate field activities, equipment, subcontractors, and project logistics for efficient delivery.
  • Support remediation and reclamation programs by overseeing contractors, tracking waste, and documenting progress.
  • Contribute to technical reports, field documentation, and project records for environmental decision-making.
  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technical professionals to deliver sustainable solutions.

As a Field Technician, you will play a hands‑on role in monitoring, investigating, remediating, and reclaiming contaminated sites while working alongside multidisciplinary experts across Canada. Your Impact

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with soil and groundwater sampling is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of environmental field investigation and contaminated sites practices.
  • Knowledge of field health and safety requirements and a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate field notes and project documentation.
  • Experience coordinating field activities, subcontractors, or environmental contractors is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle with willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Compensation
  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $51,800 - $68,600
  • MB & ON: $47,200 - $65,000
  • NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $46,800 - $62,100

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
