About Island Gold District: The Island Gold District aims to become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mining regions in Canada. It includes the Island Gold and Magino mines, which employ over 900 team members involved in underground and open-pit operations near Dubreuilville, Ontario. Ongoing exploration continues to expand the district’s Mineral Reserves and Resources. Join our team and contribute to our long-life mining operations, emphasizing employee growth, high performance, safety, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform site inspections (exploration drills, underground mine, mill, septic, tailings infrastructure, hazardous waste)
  • Conduct field work (Surface Water, Groundwater, biological monitoring, and other tasks as assigned)
  • Able to conduct data entry
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Working towards a relevant degree in an Environmental field (Science, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Environmental Science/Resource & Sustainability, Biology, Engineering, or related)
  • Experience with Spill Response and Mitigation
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and anticipating needs
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (oral/written communication and presentation), with a strong commitment to safety and social responsibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
This position is based at the Island Gold site with a rotation schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off. Flights are available from Toronto, Sudbury, and Rouyn-Noranda, QC. Accommodations and food are provided by the company.
