Job summary

Musqueam Indian Band is seeking an Environmental Stewardship Major Projects Coordinator to lead environmental work within Musqueam’s traditional territory. You will support the Environmental Stewardship Manager, manage large datasets, and coordinate consultants and staff on projects.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in biology, natural resource management or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ progressively responsible experience in environmental and First Nations issues, environmental policy, or broad-level program management.
  • Experience with environmental legislation, regulations and policies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication for reports and policy documents.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Environmental Stewardship Manager and lead initiatives to advance environmental work.
  • Delegate project tasks and maintain updates from coordinators to ensure project implementation.
  • Develop, analyze and recommend policy and procedures aligned with Musqueam priorities.
  • Draft agreements with external partners and management plans or documents.
  • Design and oversee data collection and analysis strategies for complex research projects.
  • Prepare summaries, reports and visual presentations of proposals and results.
  • Support budget development, funding reporting and procurement processes.
  • Organize community engagement sessions and prepare materials.
