Qualifications

  • High school diploma required with 2-3 years experience in a similar role.

Job description

  • Patriot Battery Metals (PMET) is a hard rock lithium exploration company focused on advancing its Shaakichiuwaanaan property located in the James Bay region of Eeyou Istchee, Quebec, Canada.
  • The Environmental Specialized Laborer will be a key addition to our environmental team at site and report directly to the Environmental Superintendent. This person will be required to work closely with internal staff and the various external consultants and service providers based on the projects and expected results. The position is a 14/14 fly-in fly-out rotation.

Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Ensure that all of the Company’s environmental policies, plans and procedures are implemented and followed;
  • Protect the environment and prioritize sustainable development (economic, social, environmental);
  • Prioritize occupational health and safety through all tasks and work performed for the Company;
  • Supervise the management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste;
  • Monitor the inventory of reagents, equipment and spare parts of the water treatment plant;
  • Assist during water treatment plant maintenance, repair and improvement work;
  • Assist in environmental inspections of on-site operations including, garages; kitchen and drill pads;
  • Will be called upon to operate water treatment plant during absences; and
  • Take care of the general cleanliness of the site.

Education and training:

  • Hold a high school diploma
  • Hold 2 to 3 years experience in a similar position is an asset;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel and Word);
    Basic knowledge of water treatment systems is an asset
    Knowledge of applicable environmental legislation is an asset
