Job summary

Dillon is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our Atlantic Canada teams (Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton, St. John’s, Halifax). We offer flexible work hours and hybrid work arrangements to balance work and personal commitments.

Responsibilities include leading environmental permitting, preparing assessment documents, coordinating project teams, and contributing to business development. Strong English communication and industry knowledge are essential, with French skills a plus.

Qualifications

• A university degree or post-undergraduate college diploma in a relevant environmental, physical science, or engineering related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated professional experience in environmental consulting, industrial, regulatory setting or related field with emphasis on environmental permitting.
• Valid driver’s license (Class 5).
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Proficiency in English; working knowledge of French would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Build client relationships through identifying market opportunities, client communications, preparation of proposals, and business development activities.
• Identify and pursue business opportunities within the marketplace, where Dillon might secure work assignments.
• Contribute to proposals through budget development and proposal writing.
• Collaborate with staff across Canada for project delivery, client relationship development, and opportunity/project research.
• Lead scoping, development, and execution of environmental permitting and project approval programs.
