Job description

AECOM Canada is searching for an Environmental EIT for a full-time position based at Winnipeg.

Responsibilities:

  • Exhibiting personal safety leadership in the oversight and execution of all work.
  • Conducting field work for multi-disciplinary assessment, remediation and monitoring projects including hydraulic conductivity testing, groundwater monitoring/sampling, drilling and soil logging, confirmatory sampling, equipment management, and detailed site assessments.
  • Conducting field planning including equipment and staffing plans, safety planning, and sampling plans.
  • Contributing to reporting including data entry/management and preparing technical reports.
  • Working within a diverse team of engineers, agrologists, geologists, scientists, and project managers.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Environmental consulting experience, specifically Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments and remediation projects in Manitoba.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain registration as a Professional Engineer, Geologist or Agrologist in Manitoba.
  • Ability to apply environmental quality guidelines to data collected from various media and land uses.
  • Experience working on remediation projects including familiarity with environmental quality guidelines.
  • Experience working with municipalities and other industries considered an asset.
  • Experience with EQuIS, ArcGIS and other digital data platforms considered an asset.
  • Experience developing and implementing project scheduling, monitoring, and tracking systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in building working relationships and participating in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
  • Can-do, positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
