Job description

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a dedicated Environmental Services Worker to join the team at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.

In accordance with our organization's vision and values, this role involves performing various environmental services duties throughout the facility. The responsibilities include maintaining clean and disinfected conditions in areas such as patient/resident/client rooms, Operating Rooms, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, Labour and Delivery Rooms, washrooms, corridors, hallways, lounges, offices, and common areas used by staff, visitors, and patients/residents/clients, as outlined in Northern Health Regional Environmental Services Policies and Processes.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work: Days - 07:30 to 16:00, Rotating

About Prince Rupert Regional Hospital: This 24-bed facility handles approximately 22,000 ER visits annually. It is equipped with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER, and Maternity services, including:

  • Acute Care
  • Internal Medicine
  • Ultrasound
  • CT Scans
  • Surgery
  • Emergency Department
  • Extended Care
  • Pediatrics
  • Radiology
  • Obstetrics
  • Gynecology

Additional services include Diabetes Education, Healthy Heart and Rehabilitation, Podiatry, Orthopedics, and visiting specialists.

Location - Prince Rupert: A port city on BC's northwest coast, renowned for wilderness exploration and wildlife viewing. It is a key transportation hub, home to 13,500 residents, and offers rich First Nations history and culture. Known as the halibut capital of the world, it also features one of the world's largest port facilities.
