Job summary

CivicInfo BC is hiring one permanent, full-time Environmental Services Technologist in the Environmental Services department in Canada. Under supervision, the technologist will help set up and implement environmental and monitoring programs for regional district solid waste facilities to ensure regulatory compliance and future growth.

The role includes evaluating pollution control infrastructure, advising on improvements, developing procedures, and providing technical guidance.

NATURE OF POSITION

Hiring one (1) permanent, full-time Environmental Services Technologist in the Environmental Services department.

UNDER THE GENERAL SUPERVISION

of the Manager of Environmental Programs and Compliance or designate, the Environmental Services Technologist will be a key player in setting up and implementing environmental and monitoring programs beneficial to the Regional District Solid Waste facilities to ensure regulatory compliance and future growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include evaluating and preparing recommendations regarding development, acquisition, and implementation of existing pollution control infrastructure; assessing and advising of environmentally beneficial improvements, defining, and developing procedures and reporting protocols to meet and ensure that safety, environmental and regulatory requirements are adopted and met.

The Environmental Services Technologist will also provide technical expertise on pollution control infrastructure to staff, contractors, and consultants, including conducting training and demonstrating all aspects of equipment, maintenance, and monitoring.

RATE OF PAY

$55.47 to 59.41 per hour (January 1, 2026 rate)
