ENVIRONMENTAL / FOOD SERVICES ASSISTANT

CASUAL POSITION

Are you an enthusiastic team player seeking a career in healthcare? Hunter Valley Private Hospital is looking to employ an Environmental / Food Services Assistant to join our supportive team. You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and an interest to achieve high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

As an Environmental / Food Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
• Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
• Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
• Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards
• Provide high standard of cleaning services
• Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures

• Experience in Hospital/Hotel cleaning
• Time management skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Works well independently and within a team
• Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain)
• Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts - early/late shifts & weekend work
