POSITION TITLE: ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE WORKER
DEPARTMENT: SUPPORT SERVICES

STATUS: CASUAL
WAGE RATE: $26.426 - $27.085

Reporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor, the Environmental Services Worker supports the Environmental Services department in various cleaning and disinfecting duties. These include cleaning and disinfecting equipment, cleaning all clinical, public, and support areas of the facility, project cleaning, distribution and collection of linens, collection of waste materials, and recycling.

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:
  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Ability to follow written and verbal job instructions and meet strict timelines
  • Ability to carry out correct lifting and carrying techniques (to be tested)
  • Willingness and ability to complete Code White Training
  • Ability to process own computer-based work orders and emails
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends
  • Ability to wear appropriate footwear and personal protective equipment
  • Respond to all Brightshores contingency codes
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
  • Adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others), and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment
