S&R Group is seeking an Environmental Service Worker to join our team in a role focused on resident care and cleanliness. You will support housekeeping and laundry tasks, ensuring a welcoming, safe environment for Residents and families.

Your work helps promote dignity and quality of life and you will contribute to a team that values safety and compassion in daily operations across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping and laundry, healthcare or hospitality setting is an asset.
• Ability to operate commercial laundry and cleaning equipment.
• VSS (Vulnerable Sector Screening) within past 6 months.
• TB 2 Step updated within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Washed and dried Residents’ clothing and linens, ensuring items are returned clean.
• Disinfected and cleaned to support infection control.
• Cleaned Residents' rooms and common areas (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms).
• Followed WHMIS guidelines and safe handling procedures for cleaning products.
• Maintained a safe environment by adhering to Health & Safety Standards.
• Supported shifts and team as needed (days, evenings, weekends).
• Contributed to a homelike environment for Residents daily.

Qualifications

To be hired into this role, you must have:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in housekeeping and laundry (healthcare or hospitality setting an asset)
• Ability to operate commercial laundry and cleaning equipment (washer, dryer, auto-scrubber, vacuum, etc.)
• Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
• TB 2 Step updated within the last year
