The successful candidate will have a strong background in Environmental Site Assessments and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and managing client projects. Overview
Vertex is currently accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Environmental Scientist / Risk Assessor to join our team in Sherwood Park or Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the completion of projects primarily for Oil and Gas, Industrial and Commercial clients in accordance with Vertex guidelines/protocols and project scopes. This ideal candidate will have proven experience in Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), Tier 1 and Tier 2 approaches (including the Subsoil Salinity Tool), for contaminated sites closure and Remediation. This individual will play a critical role in the execution of all aspects of the project while delivering a cost-effective approach that exceeds our client’s expectations. This is primarily an office-based position with the potential for some working from home (hybrid model) and field work to conduct site visits, support field teams, liaise with clients or regulatory personnel, etc.
