Job summary

EXP Services Inc. is seeking an Environmental Qualified Person to join our Hamilton, ON office. You will apply extensive experience in environmental site assessments and remediation, coordinating with the Environmental Services Manager and clients, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a P.Eng or P.Geo license in Ontario, QPESA designation, and 10+ years of related experience. Candidates must contribute technical writing and project oversight with a focus on CSA/OC regulations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in environmental assessments and excess soil.
• Licensed in Ontario: P.Eng or P.Geo and QPESA designation.
• University degree in a related environmental field.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment and remediation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Phase I/II ESA and excess soil projects in Ontario.
• Design, install and maintain remediation systems.
• Review work of junior staff and coordinate with project managers.
• Maintain client relationships across industries.
• Prepare reports and scope/ budget documentation.

Your work environment at EXP

EXP is currently recruiting for anEnvironmental Qualified Personto work in ourHamilton ON office. You will be a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with four-plus years of experience in environmental site assessment and consulting services. You will be responsible for various tasks reporting to the Environmental Services Manager.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Technical services primarily focused on Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg. 153/04 requirements
• Technical services related to Excess Soil Management to O.Reg. 406/19 requirements
• Experience in completing peer reviews of technical documents and reports
• Draw on technical skills and expertise to design, install, and conduct ongoing maintenance of remediation systems
• Working familiarity with Ontario Regulation 153/04 and Ontario Regulation 406/19
• Scope preparation
• Report preparation
• Review and evaluate the technical work of other staff
• Maintain excellent client relationships in various industries
• Working with clients, junior staff, and project managers

What your experience looks like

• 10+ years of experience in environmental assessments and excess soil
• P.Eng. or P.Geo license in Ontario and QPESA designation required
• University degree in a related field of study such as Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology or Geology
• Highly technical abilities in environmental site assessment and remediation design, combined with a mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of risk assessment/remediation systems/techniques
• Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04, as amended (including the filing of Record of Site Condition)
• Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406/19, as amended
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities
• Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and put forth creative solutions

The salary range for this role is between $90.2K-$119.6K.The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
