Lead some of the most complex and high-impact environmental construction monitoring programs in Western Canada. As an Environmental Project Manager, Pipeline Specialist, you will oversee major pipeline and linear infrastructure projects from early planning and pre-construction through construction, post-construction monitoring, and reclamation. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, influence project outcomes, build trusted client relationships, and ensure environmental commitments are successfully delivered while advancing responsible infrastructure development across the region.

Your Impact
  • Lead the delivery of large-scale environmental construction monitoring programs for pipeline and linear infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Provide strategic oversight of scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, safety, environmental compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Direct multidisciplinary teams of Environmental Inspectors, Environmental Monitors, biologists, reclamation specialists, Indigenous Monitors, and regulatory professionals across multiple construction spreads.
  • Develop and implement project execution strategies, field governance structures, monitoring frameworks, and reporting systems that drive compliant and efficient project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, providing leadership in communication, contractor coordination, issue resolution, and project execution.
  • Anticipate and mitigate environmental and construction-related risks while advising clients on regulatory compliance, permit commitments, and environmental performance.
  • Drive strong project financial performance through forecasting, resource planning, contract management, and margin optimization.
  • Mentor project managers, environmental professionals, and emerging leaders while supporting long-term team capability and business growth.

  • Extensive experience leading environmental construction monitoring and compliance programs for major pipeline and linear infrastructure projects.
  • Proven success managing complex projects through planning, construction, post-construction monitoring, and reclamation phases.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and provincial environmental legislation, regulatory approvals, permit compliance requirements, and industry best practices across Western Canada.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, geographically distributed field teams operating across multiple regions and construction spreads.
  • Advanced project management expertise including contract administration, budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial accountability.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills with senior clients, contractors, regulators, Indigenous communities, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to navigate complex construction environments, competing priorities, and changing project conditions.
  • Professional designation such as RPF, P.Biol., R.P.Bio., P.Ag., EP, PMP, or equivalent is considered an asset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $122,900 - $162,800

MB & ON: $112,100 - $154,400

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $111,000 - $147,400

The compensation ranges above are for Grade 8, Tier 2 positions and were retrieved from the primary Pay Transparency dataset.
