The Western Canada division of Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences LP is a niche environmental science and remediation consulting firm seeking an Intermediate to Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our team in Alberta.

The successful candidate will benefit by participating in a team approach while being able to work independently towards our growth as a multi-disciplined firm represented in additional offices across Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario and Western Canada.

Role Responsibilities:

  • The potential candidate is responsible for the project management of spill response and remediation projects, local business development activities including developing and nurturing client relationships. The project management role includes but is not limited to:
  • Emergency response through an established-on call schedule
  • Site assessment and management of remediation projects
  • Management of sub-contractors, development of budgets and cost control
  • Field sampling
  • Regulatory reporting
  • Client correspondence and reporting

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, soil science or equivalent.
  • Industry experience of 8+ years of conducting contaminated site investigations and spill response/remediation projects.
  • Insurance Industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in Provincial contaminated sites legislation, regulations, and processes; Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia
  • A proven ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports and a personable attitude are requirements for these positions.
  • Experience with client relations, auditing, environmental due diligence and risk assessment would be an asset to the role.
  • Strong written and oral communication in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Environment/Work Conditions:

  • This position requires some travel both provincially and regionally
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Positive team dynamics
