Job Title : Environmental Project Manager (Contaminated Sites)

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager specializing in contaminated sites to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental site assessments, remediation, and regulatory compliance. This role involves managing multiple projects, coordinating with clients and regulatory bodies, and leading teams to deliver high-quality environmental solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and oversee environmental projects related to contaminated sites from inception to completion.
  • Conduct and supervise Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
  • Develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated sites.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to provide technical expertise and project updates.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and regulatory documentation.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff in environmental assessment and remediation techniques.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field, with a focus on contaminated sites.
  • Professional designation (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo., or R.P.Bio.) or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and local environmental regulations.
  • Experience with soil and groundwater sampling, remediation technologies, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.
  • Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in GIS, data analysis tools, and environmental modeling software is an asset.
