Job description
Overview

We have an immediate opportunity for an Environmental Project Manager in the Los Angeles County area. This ideal candidate will provide direction for the project team throughout the project lifecycle and will support the construction department.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to lead and manage activities for multiple projects, their term cost, methods, and outcome
  • Responsible for providing direction to the team for their scoping and project initiation to include planning, design, permit and easement acquisition for civil and electrical construction projects
  • This position requires direct involvement in all tasks necessary for the success of the project execution
  • Possess strong problem and solution solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills as this position requires collaboration to achieve project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, and deliverables
  • Proficient knowledge of using project controls processes managing budget, schedules, forecasting, and project plans while assessing performance against budget targets
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills with the ability to resolve issues immediately
  • Ability to interact and coordinate with outside agencies and project teams
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, environmental science, or a related field with technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Seven years’ experience as a project manager with project field experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Environmental permitting experience with coastal permits, SWPPP, public lands approvals desired
  • Overhead and underground utility experience desired
  • Project Management Profession certification desired
