Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager in Calgary with a strong background in remediation and reclamation program management within the oil, gas, and energy sectors.

As a Project Manager, you will lead planning and execution of field programs, engage with teams and stakeholders, collaborate with Indigenous partners, municipal representatives, and industry leaders to ensure project success and community alignment. Responsibilities include analyzing environmental data, proposing environmentally responsible solutions, and managing regulatory activities for mining and upstream/midstream oil and gas programs.

Preferred qualifications include:

• An undergraduate degree in Agrology, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Land Reclamation, or related fields.
• Over 4 years of environmental project management experience, focusing on site assessments, remediation, and reclamation in the oil, gas, or energy sectors.
• Deep knowledge of environmental site assessments (Phase 1 and Phase 2 ESA) and regulatory compliance, especially with AER, AEP, and federal permits.
• Understanding of contamination assessments, exposure control plans, sub-soil salinity tools, and site-specific liability assessments (SSLA) is advantageous.
• Experience with environmental remediation, reclamation, and restoration techniques on contaminated and spill-impacted sites.
• Proficiency in designing and executing site characterization, delineation programs, and spill response/cleanup operations.
• Membership in an Alberta professional association is a plus.
• Experience in senior review and sign-off on reports such as Phase I & II ESAs, remediation reports, DSAs, and land use planning reports related to SSLA and groundwater considerations is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills.
