Job summary

EXP in Hamilton, ON is seeking an Environmental Project Coordinator to join the Central Canada Infrastructure Group. Based in our Hamilton (Stoney Creek) office, you will support municipal solid waste projects, environmental assessments, and permit coordination.

The role focuses on solid waste management knowledge, data analysis, report writing and stakeholder outreach. A Bachelor's degree (environmental studies) or related cert is required, with 4–6 years of experience; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Broad knowledge of solid waste management practices and technologies.
  • Experience in reviews/internet research for reports and plans.
  • Experience in environmental planning or environmental programs.
  • Master’s degree in environmental studies or planning (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Undertake desktop literature research on solid waste management initiatives, technologies and innovations.
  • Analyze/interpret municipal solid waste management data and performance.
  • Prepare reports and technical memos with charts and graphs.
  • Support QA/QC activities including proofreading and editing.
  • Coordinate project team activities.
  • Assist with permit/approval applications coordination and tracking.
  • Support Environmental Assessments and Stakeholder Consultation tasks.
  • Prepare content and graphics for project reports and presentations.

Environmental Project Coordinator

In this role, you will be a part of the Central Canada Infrastructure Group and based out of our Hamilton (Stoney Creek), Ontario office.

The focus of this role will be in the field of Municipal Solid Waste Management and will also provide support to coordination and consultation‑related tasks on Environmental Assessments and securing permits and approvals for other linear and municipal infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake desktop literature research on solid waste management initiatives, technologies and innovations.
  • Analyze/interpret municipal solid waste management performance and financial data.
  • Prepare reports and technical memos, including written content, charts and graphs.
  • Support QA/QC activities, including proofreading and editing.
  • Help coordinate project team activities.
  • Support the coordination, preparation and tracking of permit/approval applications.
  • Provide support on Environmental Assessment and Stakeholder Consultation tasks.
  • Prepare written content and graphical content for project reports and technical memos, develop presentations, and assist with project stakeholder outreach.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies or a college certification in solid waste management.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Broad working knowledge of solid waste management practices, technologies and related aspects.
  • Experience in conducting reviews/internet searches for technical reports, studies, plans and other documentation.
  • Work experience in environmental planning or in delivering environmental programs.
  • Master’s degree in environmental studies or planning (preferred).

Salary range: $65K - $80K.
