We currently have an opening for an Intermediate Environmental Planner in our Edmonton office. You should have a strong background in navigating provincial and federal legislation for linear and infrastructure projects. We seek a leader, collaborator, and critical thinker to play a key role in project planning, implementation, management, and business development. Knowledge of Alberta Environment related permitting and approvals is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Navigating regulatory approval processes and providing strategic advice in project planning
  • Preparing high-quality scientific and technical reports, permits, and regulatory documents
  • Managing projects, including budgets, schedules, client liaison, technical leadership, and team coordination
  • Business development through proposal writing and client relationship management
  • Leading projects through federal, provincial, and municipal regulatory processes

Qualifications:

  • Registration with a professional organization (e.g., ASPB, AIA) or eligibility for registration
  • 5+ years of post-graduation experience in environmental consulting focused on regulatory planning and approval acquisition
  • Strong project management skills (more than 3 years of experience)
  • Deep understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and permitting processes
  • Leadership and client relationship skills
  • Excellent communication and technical report writing skills
