This is a permanent full-time position in our Prairies (Manitoba and Saskatchewan) Assessment & Permitting Team. As a junior or intermediate Environmental Planner, based in Saskatoon you will provide support to all stages of a project’s lifecycle including environmental assessment, permitting, and construction and post-construction support. Projects will include small to large-scale provincial and federal environmental assessments for the power and energy, infrastructure, oil & gas, transportation, and mining sectors.
Our staff members have established excellent working relationships with regulators and clients across Canada, and our regulatory knowledge, environmental assessment experience, and scientific expertise allow us to help our clients develop the most effective approach to securing regulatory approvals and achieving permitting compliance.
With a working knowledge in federal, provincial, and municipal jurisdictions, you will be joining a multidisciplinary team in Environmental Services at Stantec who works closely with our multidisciplinary teams (e.g., ecosystems, water resources, cultural resources, and site investigation and remediation teams). We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, accountable, attention to detail, and has great communication skills to assist with the delivery of high-quality environmental assessments and regulatory permitting submissions and applications. The successful candidate will support on advising projects regarding regulatory requirements and will support the completion of deliverables concerning the regulatory approval processes and compliance.
