Tłı̨chǫ Engineering & Environmental Services Ltd. is currently accepting applications for the following position:

Environmental Monitor (TEES)

Are you passionate about the environment and enjoy working outdoors? Join our team and support important environmental monitoring and protection work in the North.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect water samples and maintain proper documentation
  • Track and record waste materials
  • Support environmental site inspections
  • Enter and manage environmental data
  • Observe and document wildlife and vegetation, as needed
  • Assist in data summary and report writing
  • Conduct hazard assessments of buildings/property/sites

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as an Environmental Assistant or Technician would be considered an asset
  • Follow technical procedures as outlined/determined by the client
  • Proficient in the English language
  • Physically fit as these projects include hiking over terrain while carrying sampling equipment
  • Water quality sampling experience an asset, however training will be provided in the field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Able to work independently while maintaining safety as a top priority
  • Comfortable working in remote locations and travelling by helicopter or small aircraft
  • Enrollment in, or completion of an Environmental and Natural Resources Technology Program (or equivalent)
