Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Monitor with a strong focus on Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) who holds a CPESC designation (or equivalent) or is actively pursuing it. You will be the go-to resource for planning, implementing, and leading ESC activities on some of our most exciting construction and mining projects. Your work will directly support regulatory compliance, environmental performance, and field execution — all while mentoring others and contributing to our team’s success.

A Day in the Life

  • Developing site-specific ESC plans and prescriptions for construction and mining projects
  • Leading on-site ESC installations and mentoring junior field staff
  • Performing ongoing inspections to ensure best practices and compliance
  • Working with contractors and clients to implement timely mitigation strategies
  • Maintaining clear and accurate technical documentation and reports
  • Monitoring construction work activities as they relate to environmental protection, including implementation of environmental protection plans
  • Attending project and safety meetings
  • Promoting safety culture and complying with safety protocols
  • Liaising with clients, regulators, and contractors

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Diploma or degree in environmental science, agrology, biology, forestry, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on erosion and sediment control (ESC)CPESC designation (or another ESC-related certification with a willingness to obtain CPESC)
  • Proven ability to prepare ESC plans and lead installation and compliance monitoring in the field
  • Strong knowledge of ESC best practices in construction and / or mining environments
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Valid driver’s license and availability for travel to project sites
  • Experience mentoring junior monitors or overseeing ESC field teams
