ProSidian seeks an Environmental Equity Energy Infrastructure Consultant (EJE3) to support the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in its mission to promote environmental justice and equity. The consultant will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing environmental assessment documents and policies from federal, state, and local agencies to determine the geographic scope of infrastructure project impacts on environmental justice communities.

Responsibilities :

  • Review and Analyze Environmental Assessment Documents: Conduct a comprehensive review and analysis of environmental assessment documents related to infrastructure projects in the energy sector.
  • Determine Geographic Scope: Evaluate policies and practices of agencies to identify how they determine the geographic scope for assessing the impacts of infrastructure projects on environmental justice communities.
  • Prepare Detailed Reports: Generate detailed reports summarizing findings from the review and analysis.
  • Equity Action Plan Support: Contribute to the implementation of FERC's Equity Action Plan.
  • Collaborate with FERC Staff: Engage in collaboration and communication with FERC staff to share findings.
  • Presentation of Findings: Develop presentations of findings and conclusions.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Engineering, or Energy Policy.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in energy infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth understanding of environmental justice principles.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local energy regulatory processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
