Position: Environmental Health & Safety Representative

Location: Tillsonburg, Ontario

Industry: Automotive Manufacturing

The Environmental Health and Safety Representative is responsible for supporting production. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an automotive production environment, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Typical responsibilities include:
  1. Manage claims and represent the company in Health & Safety matters with external organizations such as the MOE, MOL, and WSIB.
  2. Audit assets and machinery to ensure compliance with company safety standards for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  3. Read and coach leadership to ensure the fulfillment of the EHS Roles & Responsibilities according to the RASCI roles matrix (Responsibility, Accountability, Support, Consulted, Informed).
  4. Conduct job site safety inspections, including hazard analysis, safe work procedure reviews, and environmental assessments.
Successful candidates will have:
  • A university degree or college certificate related to Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in the health and safety field in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience and proven ability to provide technical training in material handling, LOTO, and Confined Space procedures.
