We have developed a ground-breaking medical device for the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation, the most common heart rhythm disorder that can cause stroke, heart failure, and other complications.

Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. We have developed The Globe Pulsed Field System, supported by a talented technical team that has created a product with unique, customer-valued differentiators. We have established connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and sharing our story.

Having completed our pivotal clinical study, we are now focusing on regulatory approvals and the commercial launch—an exciting milestone in our journey to bring this innovative technology to patients.

As an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator, you will:
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of all EHS policies and programs to align with corporate goals and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Conduct EHS program audits, facility inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
  • Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and initiatives.
  • Aid in occupational hygiene exposure assessments.
  • Assist in developing and delivering safety training, including new hire orientation and PPE/RPE use.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments in both field and office settings.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Support manufacturing, training, and engineering stakeholders with EHS-related inquiries.
  • Organize the maintenance, calibration, and replenishment of EHS equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion and reporting of EHS projects.
What you bring to the team

Successful candidates will possess:

  • A diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene, or a related engineering or science field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience with ISO 13485 or AS9100 regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • A desire to contribute to a strong EHS culture and initiatives.
  • Good knowledge of OHS regulations and standards (CSA, ANSI, NIOSH).
  • Project management skills are an asset.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits

The listed salary range is CAD 60,000–80,000 annually, including base salary and a 5% RRSP contribution, with actual offers based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
