We are seeking a dedicated Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our team in Wallaceburg, ON.

Who will you be working with?

The EHS Coordinator will support all employees at Wabtec Foundry, reporting directly to the General Manager of Wabtec Foundry.

How will you make a difference?

You will make decisions within defined parameters, handle moderate complexity issues, and resolve problems through immediate action or short-term planning.

What do we want to know about you?

• High School diploma with at least 4 years of EHS responsibilities
• Effective communication skills with all organizational levels and external agencies
• Program management and analytical skills
• Knowledge of local environmental regulations
• Willingness to travel up to 20%
• Six Sigma training or Green Belt Certification is a plus

What will your typical day look like?

• Provide EHS support for site operations and initiatives
• Ensure environmental permit compliance and reporting
• Maintain injury and illness record-keeping
• Implement and promote EHS policies and practices
• Coordinate EHS training and safety committees
• Manage projects and internal audits related to EHS

Physical Demands

Regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and computer use. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Safety gear required on the shop floor.
