Role and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all safety documentation and inspections are completed prior to work, and that the Environmental Drill and all associated equipment are in good working order (fluid checks, equipment inspections).
- Load all necessary equipment, tooling, and consumables (liners, bentonite, sand, water well supplies, etc.) to complete the project.
- Operate the drill according to manufacturer and environmental professional recommendations.
- Perform regular maintenance on the drill, truck, and trailer as per H3M policies and procedures and manufacturers' recommendations; complete and file all maintenance records.
- Identify and communicate any maintenance needs outside scheduled maintenance to prevent scheduling delays.
- Complete daily time tickets with usage details and submit for supervisor/Project Manager approval.
- Maintain the professional driver's log in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Communicate any scope or schedule changes to the supervisor/project manager promptly, allowing for adjustments and client notifications.
- After project completion, thoroughly clean the equipment and prepare it for the next project.
- Mentor and train junior employees and support Project Managers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License with heavy trailer endorsement, or Class 1 or 3.
- 1-3 years of drilling experience.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as skid steers and larger machinery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Possess all industry-standard tickets.
- Geotechnical/Environmental Driller Certification is a strong asset.
