Job summary

The University of Toronto invites applications for a sessional lecturer to teach ENV338H1S Environmental Research Data and Decision-making at St. George campus. The successful candidate will develop a detailed syllabus, deliver in-person lectures, hold student office hours, and supervise teaching assistants.

Minimum qualifications include a PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience; teaching experience is preferred. Canadians and permanent residents are prioritized.

Qualifications

• PhD in relevant area or equivalent professional and/or academic experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver undergraduate courses.
• Experience with in-person instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a detailed syllabus and curriculum for the course.
• Teach the course in an in-person format.
• Hold office hours and meet with students as they request.
• Manage teaching assistant(s).
• Handle other pedagogical and administrative tasks ordinarily associated with teaching an undergraduate course.
