Qualifications

What You Will Be Doing
  • Coordinate with various teams/stakeholders to ensure the implementation of the Environmental Management Plan
  • Assist with environmental orientation training for project staff and conduct periodic environmental toolbox talks as required
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and follow-up in accordance with environmental approvals and legislation
  • Maintain a log of environmental monitoring events and inspections
  • Ensure environmental issues are addressed and requirements are met according to approvals and project agreements
  • Prepare and submit monitoring, inspection, and auditing reports
  • Provide advice and recommendations for improving environmental protection and correct deficiencies or non-conformance issues
  • Establish control measures impacting environmental matters in support of the project
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field
  • Qualified Person (QP) certification is highly preferred
  • Environmental certification preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, including some work with construction companies in British Columbia
  • Experience in environmental monitoring is preferred
  • Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations in British Columbia
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Systematic and structured thinking abilities
  • Class 5 driver license is highly preferred
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and longer hours if required

Salary Range

Min: CAD $70,000.00 per year

Max: CAD $90,000.00 per year
