We are currently seeking an Environment Health and Safety Specialist to join our Saskatoon Manufacturing Plant for a one-year term.

As part of the Environmental Health and Safety team, this position assists in managing environmental, safety, and health processes and provides leadership for all matters related to employee safety and health. They will support manufacturing personnel to ensure systems are in place to drive continuous improvement in employee safety programs.

The qualified candidate will have:

  • A related post-secondary degree or diploma in Environmental, Health and Safety, along with equivalent work experience, would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience as a safety professional in heavy industrial and manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and policies.
  • Proficiency with technology and equipment used in safety and environmental inspections.
  • Understanding of manufacturing facilities and machining processes.
  • Knowledge of industrial and office ergonomics.
  • Ability to foster and stress the importance of a safety culture.
