Job summary

Triumph Group of Companies seeks a Senior Building Envelope Systems Designer to drive design across cladding, glazing, curtain wall, and window/door systems. You’ll craft construction-ready details, lead client Design Assists, and build a standardized library used across divisions.

You’ll collaborate on-site in the Greater Toronto Area with fabrication and field teams, influencing envelopes from concept through deployment, and shaping long-term company standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing building envelope systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with THERM for thermal modeling.
• University degree in architecture, engineering, or building science.
• Fundamentals of building science including thermal performance, air and water management.
• P.Eng designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design envelope assemblies from concept to construction-ready details.
• Lead Design Assist with clients to trade off performance, cost, and schedule.
• Build and maintain a standardized library of envelope details.
• Evaluate thermal performance and air/water management with THERM.
• Review proposals to ensure constructibility, code compliance, and pricing.
• Provide field troubleshooting and early issue resolution on projects.
• Mentor junior designers and drafters in envelope principles.
• Resolve interface conditions across Triumph divisions.
