Responsibilities & Requirements

The Environmental Service Worker II position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

  • Follow verbal and written safety guidelines
  • Perform cleaning functions for designated areas
  • Document daily assignments accurately
  • Maintain flexibility with schedule changes and staff shortages
  • Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Report equipment issues promptly
  • Engage professionally with staff and patients
  • Maintain records and manage equipment storage
  • Handle regular and hazardous waste, operate waste processing equipment
  • Clean sterile areas such as operating rooms, sterile processing, and MRI suites
  • Deliver supplies to designated locations
  • Operate laundry equipment and change curtains as needed
  • Perform various utility duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a service-related field
  • Floor care experience
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull 10-25 lbs daily
  • Strong customer service skills towards staff and patients
  • Knowledge of electronic devices (computers, tablets, etc.)
  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to plan, initiate, and complete responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills, positive attitude, and good attendance

Preferred Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED.
