Job Responsibilities

This entry-level Software Developer will work as part of a development team to design and code our Property Tax Software. Responsibilities include requirement analysis, technical documentation, coding, reviewing, and debugging, while collaborating with senior team members to enhance technical and professional skills.

Job Duties

1. Design, write, edit, modify, and debug basic computer programs.
2. Support team efforts to deliver work according to the defined scope and deadlines.
3. Participate in all agile scrum meetings.
4. Demonstrate working software to stakeholders.
5. Create quality software documentation and release notes.
6. Follow established coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.
7. Perform peer testing of functional changes.
8. Work closely with the Product Owner to groom and prioritize the product backlog.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of professional development experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft programming stack: C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core MVC, REST API, Entity Framework Core.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience designing tables, databases, and queries (Microsoft SQL Server).
• Ability to write basic unit tests for validations and calculations.
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum values, principles, and practices.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within a team environment.
