Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in insurance.
  • Willingness to obtain Level 1 General license.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully.

No insurance experience is necessary for this role. We provide and pay for all training to become a licensed insurance broker in any of our Alberta branches. Once trained, you'll be on your way to helping people protect what’s most important to them.

We have an opening for an Entry Level Personal Insurance Advisor to join our Personal Insurance team at our Hinton Branch on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

What the Role Entails:

  • Serving ongoing client needs, advising on insurance matters, conducting needs assessments, recommending solutions, answering inquiries, conducting care calls, and processing renewals
  • Selling new policies and writing new business to existing or new clients, retaining existing book of business
  • Contacting underwriters and adjusters to discuss guidelines and policies
  • Preparing documentation for insurers, completing applications, issuing insurance certificates, processing changes, and reviewing renewals
  • Staying current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Participating actively in training initiatives
  • Engaging in community marketing initiatives

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • High School and/or Post-Secondary Education
  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience (insurance sales experience preferred but not required)
  • Level 1 General license or willingness to obtain one
  • Exposure to Epic is an asset
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check
