A municipal organization is hiring for an entry-level seasonal position in their Turf Care team in North Vancouver. Responsibilities include mowing and maintaining turf, with a pay rate of $32.91 per hour plus benefits. Ideal candidates will have experience with equipment and landscaping, along with the ability to work early hours and in various weather conditions.
Northlands Golf Course established in 1997 is a 6400-yard, par 71, 18-hole public golf course owned and operated by the District of North Vancouver. Northlands : ‘Where Nature is Your Playing Partner’ is located on 135 magnificent acres of mountainside rain forest at the base of Mt. Seymour in North Vancouver. We provide the public with year-round golf at an affordable green fee on this beautifully designed Les Furber championship course.
Requirements
We are currently accepting applications to fill entry level seasonal vacancies in our Turf Care team. Typical duties include mowing, trimming and rolling turf, preparing bunkers, changing holes, filling divots, removing debris and cleaning cart paths.
Successful applicants will have experience operating motorized equipment, power and hand tools; previous experience in landscaping or golf course maintenance; are physically fit; able to work in all kinds of weather and are available for a 5 : 00am start and at least one weekend day. A valid BC Drivers’ License would be an asset.
Salary & Benefits
The rate of pay for this seasonal, unionized position is $32.91 per hour (2024 rate), plus 12% in lieu of all benefits. The hours will vary depending on needs.
