Job summary

The Bun Café & Playhouse in Langford, BC is seeking an Entry-Level Barista to learn coffee preparation and customer service in a warm, family-focused setting.

No prior barista experience is required, and on-the-job training is provided. You will operate POS, handle orders, keep the cafe clean, and support opening/closing duties while delivering friendly service to parents, caregivers, and children.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and other café menu items.
• Learn to operate and maintain professional espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other café equipment.
• Provide friendly, welcoming, and efficient customer service.
• Take customer orders and accurately process payments using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain a clean, organized coffee bar, seating areas, and customer service stations.
• Assist with preparing and serving light snacks, pastries, and other food items.
• Restock supplies, monitor inventory, and notify management when items are running low.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and equipment preparation.
• Help maintain a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere for all, including parents, caregivers, and children.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications & Requirements
