Job summary

The Co-operators is seeking an entrepreneurial Financial Advisor to manage an independently contracted agency with full support from an established company. This 36-month trainee role is office-based in Canada and requires English with French as an asset.

Expected salary range is $65,562.00 – $109,270.00, with a sales incentive plan of 10%+ annually. Candidates should have 3–5 years of management experience in insurance, post-secondary education, and appropriate licencing (Life, General

Qualifications

3–5 years of management experience in the insurance industry or related business experience.
Post-secondary education in a related field.
Life licence and General Insurance licence, Mutual Funds licence as an asset.
On Ontario only: CFP, CLU, CHFC or accredited Financial Planning Designation.
Other provinces: CFP, CLU, CHFC or accredited Financial Planning Designation (completed or working toward).

Responsibilities

Prospecting new clients to discuss risk management and financial goals, and conducting reviews with clients to empower informed decisions.
Cultivating strong community relationships to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities.
Developing and executing business, operational and marketing plans to support sustainability strategies.
Recruiting and mentoring employees, and managing your team’s performance to achieve agency goals.
Ensuring maintenance of licences, compliance with ethical behaviour and regulatory standards.
