Qualifications

Your Role

Tenable is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to own and drive the business and technical aspects of strategic enterprise pre-sales in your assigned region. You will partner with Enterprise Territory Managers and a team of peers to differentiate Tenable solutions, create lasting customers, and position the unique business value Tenable delivers. You will aim to build fans of Tenable throughout your area of influence.

Your Opportunity

  • Become a Vulnerability and Risk Management SME and advisor to some of the world’s largest organizations
  • Meet with prospective clients to discover their biggest security challenges and highest priority business drivers
  • Map Tenable’s business value and differentiators to their challenges and drivers
  • Perform custom portfolio demonstrations based on strong discovery questions and real intel
  • Collaborate with peers across Tenable to build strong teams and shared knowledge
  • Influence product direction and contribute to Tenable’s growth in the evolving field of network security

What You'll Need

  • Prior experience in a security-related technical pre-sales role
  • Ability to craft a custom demo rather than delivering a canned one
  • Skill and confidence in leading discussions from technical to executive levels
  • Self-starter attitude and determination to win
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel within your territory, typically around 25% on average

And Ideally

  • Experience with Nessus and/or other network security technologies
  • Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP and network security concepts
  • Experience with enterprise-class OS at the security admin level
  • Experience with modern computing infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, etc.)
  • Docker and DevOps knowledge, API scripting, Python SDK
  • Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., PCI, FISMA, SOX, NERC)
  • BS in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years of direct SE experience
  • Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or similar)

Location and Travel

This position requires you to be located in either Vancouver, Canada or Calgary, Canada. Remote work from one of these locations is acceptable.
