Job description

Job Title: Enterprise Scientific Liaison

We are seeking an Enterprise Scientific Liaison to join our expanding Customer Insights and Value team. As a thought leader, you will leverage your scientific expertise to assist top Pharma scientists in advancing medicine and play a key role in transforming the BenchSci pilot and service model. This position reports to the Team Lead of Scientific Liaisons. BenchSci is a remote-first organization, currently welcoming applicants from Canada and the US.

Responsibilities:
  1. Become a subject matter expert in BenchSci technology, effectively communicating its value to industry scientists and key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  2. Build trusted relationships with customers to understand how BenchSci impacts their research.
  3. Understand your customers' therapeutic and functional research landscapes, using your scientific perspective to contribute to account growth strategies.
  4. Assist customers with scientific research projects, providing evidence to support business cases.
  5. Draft scientific reports for pilot and enterprise customers.
  6. Collaborate with Customer Therapeutics to execute pilot projects and enterprise reports, maximizing their impact.
  7. Work closely with sales during pre-sales activities, contributing to business case development.
  8. Support new product launches by providing scientific insights to enhance preclinical research projects.
  9. Represent customer voices internally to improve technology features and address customer needs.
  10. Represent BenchSci at conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  11. Stay informed on emerging scientific and technological trends.
Qualifications:
  1. A degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience (e.g., 1-2+ years as a scientist in pharma or biotech).
  2. At least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries in a customer-facing role.
  3. Ability to translate technical capabilities into scientific discussions and navigate customer landscapes effectively.
  4. Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences, both in-person and remotely.
  5. Team-oriented, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Passionate about making a meaningful impact in the life sciences industry.
  7. Willing to travel up to 30%, including internationally, with a valid passport and driver's license.
