Job summary

Murex is seeking a Risk Management Solutions Specialist in Toronto to support and implement risk modules within the MX platform. You will perform financial product analysis, validate models, and tailor solutions for client needs.

You will gather requirements, configure systems, run tests, and help clients during implementation while collaborating with teams and delivering within timelines. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/Engineering/Financial Engineering/Applied Finance/Math.
• Strong understanding of financial risk management and markets.
• Strong background in mathematics applied to finance.
• Knowledge of SQL (Oracle or Sybase) and Unix commands a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proven team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

The team:

Join our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team and help clients get the most from Murex risk management solutions. You will support and implement solutions across, Credit risk, xVA Market risk, VaR, Risk control and operations, including limits management

What you’ll do:

• Provide proactive and high-quality support to Murex clients who are using the Risk modules of the MX platform.
• Micro analysis of financial products and derivatives trading activities
• Validation and analysis of financial products, related models and risk profiles of both vanilla and exotics
• Functional design and technical mapping to tailor Murex solutions to client's business
• Ensure successful follow up of client cases, from notification to resolution and validation.
• Gathering requirements, performing configurations, tests and assistance to clients during software implementation.
• Understand the client business and deliver, within project timelines, a high-quality solution using Murex best practices.
• Conduct training sessions / participate in the design / development of training materials / documentation in the area(s) of his/her domain both internally at Murex and for clients.
• Participate in the preparation of demos and workshop.
• Assist in presales demos/workshops.

Who you are:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Financial Engineering, Applied Finance, or Mathematics 1 to 4 years of relevant functional/technical experience
• Strong understanding of financial risk management, financial markets, and products
• Strong background in mathematics applied to Finance
• Knowledge of SQL (Oracle and/or Sybase) and Unix commands is a plus
• Possess excellent analytical skills, as well as strong communication skills both internally and externally.
• Proven track record of being a team player and a strong sense of responsibility to ensure completion of assigned tasks.
• Ability to travel

Compensation for roles at Murex varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Murex provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Toronto, as set forth below Salary Range: CAD 80,000 to CAD 110,000
