Enterprise Architect, Principal

The Principal, Enterprise Architect—reporting to the Leader, Architecture—will be deployed to a platform to support its objectives and guide it on a multi-year journey for technology transformation. Working directly with the platform leadership and owners, the Architect will ensure the backlog includes what is necessary to meet enterprise objectives and help prioritize related work into release plans that deliver business value and support technology transformation over time. We want YOU, because you have been directly involved in similar work in the past, and can draw on your experiences to act as a mentor to others within the architecture practice to help raise their game to deliver both business and enterprise value at the same time.

You'll be responsible for:

• Partnering with platform leadership and owners on backlog population, curation, prioritization, and release planning across multiple squads.
• Managing architectural requirements in platform backlogs.
• Technical debt tracking and remediation planning.
• Conducting well-architected reviews and mapping findings to remediations in the backlog.
• Contribution to, and leadership within, working groups tasked with continuous, iterative cross-PL product convergence and platform standardization.
• Curating/incubating/prototyping/delivering new potentially shared capabilities in partnership with your aligned PL team and others in the architecture practice.
• Prototyping/POC patterns, creating documentation/cookbooks, and executable code.
• Product-to-platform dependency tracking.
• Providing executive & program advice and consulting.
• Governing architectural and decision quality.

You bring:

• Experience as a practiced Information Technology professional for more than 8 years.
• At least 5 years of experience on teams delivering and designing software applications.
• Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
• Recent and in-depth experience architecting, designing, POCing, prototyping, and testing technology products and/or platforms on cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure and AWS) and on-premise.
• Experience working on online transaction processing solutions with very high availability and resilience expectations.
