Job description

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for an Enterprise Architect – Expert to focus on evolving our capital markets GenAI framework and aligning it with the enterprise offering. This will involve collaboration with senior executives on design choices to ensure our domain requirements are incorporated in the target solution. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in Role:

1. Form and communicate technology guidance to standardize the development of commonly needed capabilities. (For instance, work with SMEs within markets and enterprises to determine API strategy, build consensus, document it on Confluence, present it to senior leadership, and show dev teams how to implement it.)
2. Review proposed architectures to align specific team requirements with high-level goals of capital markets leadership and the bank. (For instance, justify the use of internal cloud over physical machines, Redis over MemSQL, or data sourcing choices between BankAppA and BankAppB.)

Must-Have Skills:

• Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly
• Interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of software architecture (patterns, components, etc.)
• Strong understanding of programming (language pros/cons, threading implications, etc.)
• Strong understanding of data technologies (stores, access patterns, caching, etc.)
• Broad understanding of capital markets
• Foundational knowledge of machine learning and deep learning
• Understanding of model architectures (transformers, GANs, etc.)
• Understanding of GenAI capabilities, use cases, concerns, and considerations
• Understanding of prompt engineering and RAG techniques
• Understanding of Ethical AI and responsible implementation
• Knowledge of data processing and management
• Experience with large language models (LLMs)
• Experience working on GenAI solutions in large, regulated organizations

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Deep understanding of capital markets products
• Ability to influence others
• Experience with cloud architecture
