Job description

We’re currently seeking a skilled and experienced ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT to support our client, SaskPower, in a senior-level role within their SaskPower Nuclear subsidiary. This position is central to the design and development of SaskNuclear’s new, secure, and cloud-enabled IT landscape. The successful candidate will lead the creation of enterprise-level architecture frameworks, design principles, and technology strategies that align with SaskPower’s digital transformation goals, cybersecurity posture, and regulatory obligations in a complex, highly governed utility environment.
The role demands extensive experience across all dimensions of enterprise IT, including infrastructure, applications, networking, security, and governance—ensuring a cohesive, resilient, and future-ready digital ecosystem for SaskNuclear.

LOCATION & WORK HOURS:

  1. Location: Preferred onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan. Offsite (remote) may be considered for exceptional candidates.
  2. Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST

REQUIREMENTS

  1. 10+ years of relevant IT experience, including experience at the enterprise or solution architect level.
  2. Experience in greenfield design of highly secure, enterprise-scale IT landscapes.
  3. TOGAF certification (or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in business architecture fundamentals, capability mapping, and long-term technology planning.
  5. Proven ability to define and implement architectural principles, patterns, and standards across enterprise systems.
  6. Experience with large-scale implementations spanning security, network, infrastructure, applications, and compliance-heavy environments.
  7. Strong strategic thinking and communication skills to interface with both technical and business stakeholders.

DELIVERABLES

Responsibilities:
The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for designing the future-state IT architecture of the SaskNuclear subsidiary and ensuring it meets business objectives, regulatory compliance, and operational resiliency. This includes translating business needs into technical capability maps and guiding the implementation of standardized, secure architectural frameworks.

Key Deliverables:

  1. Enterprise-level design principles and architectural patterns
  2. Technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy and regulatory constraints
  3. Creation and maintenance of architectural standards and governance processes
  4. Comprehensive capability mapping and planning documentation
  5. Contribution to the overarching technology strategy for SaskNuclear’s IT program

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a one-year contract with potential for extension, starting May 5, 2025. The position is based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Offsite (remote) may be considered for exceptional candidates. Working with standard hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.
