Job summary

The City of Red Deer is seeking an IT Application Systems Analyst to provide ongoing support, development, and integration of enterprise business applications. You will work with business units, manage projects, and administer underlying databases while ensuring security and system integrity.

Responsibilities include application maintenance, SDLC oversight, reporting, UAT, end-user training, and collaboration with vendors. On-site role based at City Hall with potential after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Must have a 2-year Technical Computer Systems diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar IT role in a medium-sized networked environment.
• Experience with Microsoft operating systems, network products, and desktop hardware.
• Experience programming or maintaining application systems for at least 1 year.
• Preference for experience with enterprise HR/payroll systems, municipal business systems, and complex integrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide business application support and maintenance.
• Develop and integrate business applications.
• Support client business units in using business applications.
• Participate in IT projects and manage the SDLC lifecycle.
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders; administer security controls.
• Develop reports to support operational decision-making.
• Lead UAT and provide end-user training.
• Assist with database maintenance and IT administration.
