Job summary

Ciklum in Canada is seeking an Analytics Engineer to transform raw data into enterprise data assets and productionalize new data sets for universal analytics. You will work with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust data logic and ensure scalable, maintainable pipelines that serve as the single source of truth.

You will build from ground up, collaborate with data engineering teams, implement monitoring, and support external reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related fields, with a proven track record of building and maintaining large-scale data assets.
• Expertise in SQL for querying and data transformation.
• Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation, automation, and building data pipelines; Pandas/NumPy/PySpark preferred.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or AWS Redshift and cloud-native data integration tools.
• Experience with ETL orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas).
• Experience with Git for collaboration and code integrity.
• Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau/Looker/Power BI).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana).
• Familiarity with CI/CD in data engineering and DevOps practices.
• Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
• Strong analytics workflows understanding, data lineage, and data cataloging tools (Alation, Collibra).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build Enterprise Data Assets from scratch, foundational analytics assets for universal business use.
• Establish logic for critical data sets and ensure a single source of truth.
• Capture data requirements with stakeholders and future-proof data assets.
• Translate domain expertise into computational data logic.
• Productionalize data sets to enable immediate business insights while ensuring scalability.
• Implement alerting and monitoring for data sets.
• Enable data exports and reporting data sets for external use.
• Support change management as upstream data evolves.
