Job summary

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking an Enrollment Clerk in Sydney, NS to register maintenance orders and separation agreements and establish payment schedules from court orders. You will manage the Maintenance Enforcement Program database, ensure data integrity, and respond to inquiries.

Ideal candidates have four years of office experience with alphanumeric data entry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to interpret legal documents and court orders.

Qualifications

• Four years related experience in an office environment with alphanumeric data entry.
• Experience and competency in an automated environment are required.
• Ability to calculate various types of payment schedules, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Experience in interpretation of Court orders and knowledge of legal documents, forms, procedures, and terminology would be an asset.
• Strong organizational, time-management and interpersonal skills; ability to use sound judgement and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Register maintenance orders and separation agreements.
• Establish payment schedules using information from Court orders; maintain the MEP database.
• extrapolate information from source documents and ensure data integrity.
• Act as a referral source to the Program client group and respond to general inquiries; process correspondence.
