English Teacher / English ECT

In the heart of Redbridge, an 'Outstanding' Secondary School is seeking an English Teacher / English ECT for a September 2025 start. This is a permanent, full-time position.

The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious English Teacher / English ECT eager to contribute to an expanding English Department. The School is known for its supportive SLT and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

The School invests heavily in education, implementing new teaching practices and training staff. It's an exciting time to join!

Experienced English Teachers may take on TLR roles such as KS3 Coordinator or Pastoral Responsibilities. Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) will be enrolled in the School’s bespoke NQT induction program and will work alongside both new and experienced English Teachers.

Person Specification

1. Must have UK QTS or be in the process of obtaining it
2. Strong academic background: Degree, A Levels, GCSEs
3. Meet the 8 Teaching Standards at a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level
4. Ability to work as part of a large team
5. Willingness to listen to feedback
