Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for an Engineering Technician 3 role in Vancouver. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Work under limited supervision to provide support to production, quality, and engineering teams.
Improve and implement procedures across plant operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in testing, implementation, and scoping of projects, exercising independent judgment to determine appropriate courses of action.
Assist with the setup of new production systems and provide training to operators as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLC-controlled equipment and furnaces to ensure operational continuity.
Apply substantial job knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of moderately difficult tasks.
Document processes, project progress, and technical data accurately and thoroughly.
Train other team members effectively and potentially lead smaller projects.
Promptly report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety hazards to supervisors.
Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and address operational challenges.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in engineering support or manufacturing is .
Strong troubleshooting skills and substantial knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and furnaces.
Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and make recommendations to resolve issues.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and training skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work the standard shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) with willingness to support different shifts, weekends, or overnight as needed.
Experience with project scoping or implementation is a plus, but training will be provided.
