The Protection, Control and Telecommunications Engineering Division is responsible for BC Hydro’s Protection & Control systems and Telecommunication Networks, ensuring safe and reliable operation of BC Hydro’s electric system while meeting stakeholder requirements.
The division provides engineering studies, standards, design solutions, construction documentation, and oversight, along with technical support during procurement, construction, testing, and asset lifecycle management.
We are seeking an Engineering Team Lead for the SCADA Design – Transmission team within the P&C Design department. The Team Lead will oversee SCADA engineering design processes, project resourcing, and deliverables for projects affecting SCADA assets, managing a team of 8-12 engineers, technologists, and contractors, reporting to the P&C Design Department Manager at the Edmonds office in Burnaby, BC.
Note: This role is safety sensitive; pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required.
Work primarily from the Edmonds office with travel within BC and possibly outside the province. A valid Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing is required.
